[Super Soil Construction Case] Greening Case of Oxygen Pipes and Drainage Base

Construction case study of the Hotel Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba Annex Square.

We would like to introduce a case study of the construction of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," made from crushed and sintered waste glass, specifically for the oxygen pipes and drainage base. In the landscaping work for the hotel garden, Super Sol L1 medium grain was used for the drainage base material and oxygen pipes. Due to the clayey ground at the construction site, which has very poor drainage, measures were necessary. During the transplantation of a 10-meter-high Himalayan cedar, a drainage layer was created at the base, and nine oxygen pipes were installed. The air permeability and drainage have improved, and the progress is favorable. 【Construction Case Study】 - Project Details: Hotel Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba Annex Square Construction - Usage Category: Greening / Oxygen Pipe Drainage Base / Below Planting - Client: Private - Construction Location: Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture - Required Performance: Air permeability, drainage, strength For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

[Super Sol Construction Case] Example of Buried Pipe Protection

This is a case study of the construction work for the Bijin Tree Residential Complex.

We would like to introduce a case study of the construction of "Super Sol," an artificial lightweight material made by crushing and sintering waste glass into a foamed state, specifically for the protection of buried pipes. In the development of a residential area, there were existing buried pipes directly beneath the planned road. Instead of replacing the buried pipes, it was more cost-effective to protect them using lightweight fill, so lightweight fill construction was adopted. After comparing with other lightweight materials (specific gravity over 1.0), Super Sol was chosen as it required the least depth for replacement. 【Construction Case Study】 - Project Details: Construction of the Bijogi Housing Complex - Use Classification: Civil Engineering / Structural Protection / Underground Buried Objects - Client: Private Sector - Construction Location: Sakura City, Tochigi Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight and reduced load capacity For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

[Super Soil Utilization Case] Rain Garden

During heavy rainfall, rainwater that falls in the garden is temporarily stored underground! This helps prevent urban flooding.

We would like to introduce examples of rainwater storage tanks and rainwater infiltration tanks utilizing Super Soil. In particular, in areas where urbanization has progressed, it has become difficult for rainwater to infiltrate underground, leading to urban flooding that flows into rivers in a short period of time. By utilizing the water retention capabilities of Super Soil, it is being used as a rainwater storage tank to temporarily hold rainwater, as well as a rainwater infiltration tank that slowly allows the stored rainwater to infiltrate over time. 【Example Overview】 ■ Application Category: Rainwater Storage, Rainwater Infiltration Tank, Rain Garden ■ Client: Private Sector ■ Construction Location: Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture ■ Porous ■ Water Retention and Drainage *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
